New restaurant can’t wait to open on Eat Street
A relaxed new restaurant where the customer takes the helm to build their own delicious burger is destined for Ed.Square Town Centre, the heart of Frasers Property Australia’s game-changing new community in south west Sydney. Loaded by BL will be one of the first tenants to arrive in Ed.Square’s vibrant Eat Street dining precinct.

Loaded by BL is an offshoot of BL Burgers – which already has outlets in Darlinghurst and Parramatta – and offers customers more control in choosing the ingredients for their own dream burger. The Ed.Square restaurant will be the second Loaded by BL, with another outlet in Newtown.

“The concept has been hugely popular with our customers in Newtown and Ed.Square just felt like the perfect location to expand our brand further,” says owner-operator Sarah Robbins.

“At Loaded by BL, customers can come in and order one of our popular traditional burgers off the menu or they can choose to build their own, selecting the ingredients they want from our extensive range, and we make their custom burger for them.

“We are in the planning phase now for the Ed.Square restaurant but people can expect a relaxed, American-style diner with a full bar as well as take-away service. It will be the perfect place to grab a tasty meal on the run or catch up with friends or family for a casual sit-down meal.

“Eat Street will have the right vibe for our restaurant and we can’t wait to open Loaded by BL at Ed.Square.”

Ms Robbins says the restaurant at Ed.Square will allow the business the freedom to offer more than their other restaurants.

“We really want to expand on what we are currently doing elsewhere and Ed.Square will give us that opportunity,” Ms Robbins says.

“We will have a full offering of breakfast, lunch and dinner and we are currently thinking about what will work best for customers in the region.

“Because the train station is so close, we are thinking about a selection of grab and go options, for example, as well as customers being able to order take-away or dine-in and we might expand on what customers can ‘load up’.”

The BL Burger brand is best known for its signature Blame Canada burger, which includes a beef patty, American cheese, maple-glazed streaky bacon, maple aioli, poutine (chips topped with cheese curds and gravy) on a milk bun.

“People know us for this burger so they will definitely seek us out to order this, but we think the restaurant will become really popular with new residents who might not have heard of BL Burgers before,” Ms Robbins says.

“It’s really exciting to be part of the new community. It felt like a huge opportunity for us as Ed.Square will really transform this area. There is so much happening here.”
