e2 Young Engineers LEGO Workshop
The Bricks Challenge program introduces primary school children (Yr 1- 6) to the basic principles of STEM (Science, Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Math). Children learn to 'think like engineers' by building complex motorised machines using LEGO motors and batteries.
Goals and values of the LEGO Challenges:
- Acquiring theoretical knowledge in engineering, physics and mathematics through getting involved in the game that teaches you new skills.
- Enhanced independent thinking and creativity.
- Developing analytical skills in the engineering processes.
- Developing motor skills and spatial vision.
- Building self confidence and a sense of usefulness and accomplishment.
- Developing 21st century skills including the integration of modern life, the acquisition of information and communication literacy and higher-order thinking skills.
